We’re on mission to reset, restore & enrich the health & resilience of our skin, spirits & land.

It’s all there - everything we need to live a fulfilling, healthy and thriving life. But we need to reconnect to it, learn from it, restore it and protect it.

Nourishing our mind, body, skin and spirit doesn’t have to come at the cost of the earth.

We believe we’re in a mutually-loving relationship - by caring for our land and the abundance of life it offers, in turn we are offered with so much - nutrients for our body and skin, connection and joy for our mind and spirit, and ultimately the ability of our land, waterways and plants to thrive for future generations. We all have a role to play, no matter how small.

Lavender for skin

Our goal is to regenerate & transform

your skin and the land from which our ingredients come from.

What started with a single botanical we grew from seed in an effort to gain control over it’s freshness, peak potency, how it was grown and handled, as well as reduce it’s travel (being unavailable in Australia), has since turned into more than 15 of our skin and earth-loving botanicals being grown right here in our Reset gardens - connecting Reset Beauty to a purpose that places the health of your skin as well as the land at the core. (Read the story of our first ‘farm-to-face’ ingredient, the Spilanthes Acmella here).

ORIGINS MATTER

What started with a single botanical we grew from seed in an effort to gain control over it’s freshness, peak potency, how it was grown and handled, as well as reduce it’s travel (being unavailable in Australia), has since turned into more than 15 of our skin and earth-loving botanicals being grown right here in our Reset gardens - connecting Reset Beauty to a purpose that places the health of your skin as well as the land at the core. From rich Australian natives that have survived and thrived because of their dense range of nutrients including our beloved Australian Kangaroo Paw, Tasmanian Mountain Pepper, Lemon Myrtle and Eucalyptus, to the time-honored medicinal herbs including Calendula, Lemon Balm, Yarrow, Lavender, Sage, Olive, Rose, Marshamallow, Borage, Echinacea and more.

Plants that are healthy, vibrant and thriving are alive with a wide range of beneficial phytonutrients that work in synergy with one another. Where and how they’re grown, handled and processed all impact on the concentration of these nutrients transferred into your skincare, and ultimately how they perform for your skin. Our obsession is not only with the quality, freshness and potency of our ingredients, but also the overall positive impact they have on the soil and land they grow in.

We feel this is going beyond sustainability (ie. sustaining the land), and instead working towards regeneration. Planting and growing the resources that we craft into our products while giving back to our land in return. The more we put into the ground, the better. Whether that’s through our own Reset gardens, or through the support and connections with the local farmers and growers of the botanicals we don’t grow ourselves.

Combining with our Reset-grown plants are our consciously wild foraged botanicals such as the Australian Wattle. Australia is home to some of the hardest-working and most resilient plants, being conditioned to face our harsh weather conditions. Harvesting is consciously done by hand, in small amounts, at times when the plants are flourishing, and only of parts that readily produce such as flowers, berries and leaves. This preserves the plant itself and ensures it can continue to thrive.

As we can't grow it all, we also source local ingredients such as the beautiful Australian Rosella (hibiscus), which come to us freshly picked from local Queensland growers, as well as meticulously sourcing quality ingredients such as our base botanical oils, organic where possible, from reputable sources in Australia. Our ingredients include a diverse collection of plant oils, raw herbs and butters that are rich in nourishing vitamins, minerals, proteins and enzymes to optimise skin function and stimulate healthy regeneration.

There are also particular instances where our ingredients come from sustainable and responsible international sources when they can’t be sourced locally, like our cold-pressed pro-vitamin A-rich murmuru butter. This butter is sustainably harvested from the fallen seeds of the astrocaryum murumuru palm native to the Amazon. The harvest and production of the raw butter does not impact on the health of the tree, and provides a livelihood to communities in the Braganca region of Brazil, making this native tree more valuable standing than cut down and encouraging its preservation.

It’s our priority to use ingredients that are not only natural and naturally-derived, but are also sustainable and have had little to no processing, chemicals or heat used in their production. This is vital to ensure the ingredients retain their wonderful array of dense nutrients that will be transferred into the final product.

We know what we apply on our skin, including rinse-off products, can be absorbed by our bodies and believe the same level of concern should be given to these products as we do to the foods we eat. We do not and will never use harsh synthetics, toxins, carcinogens, petrochemicals and fillers.

We are cruelty-free, and only test our products on friends and family.

Being environmentally-conscious is at the center of all aspects of our business - from the ingredients we use, the care for our soil and preparation of compost, the way we formulate and craft our products, the UV-protective glass miron bottles we use which also prevent degradation of ingredient potency, the recyclable labels and our choice not to coat them in a plastic lamination, to the decisions we make such as what products we craft and offer.

“We believe in quality over quantity: buying less, higher quality, multipurpose products has less of an impact on our Earth, and buying products that have a positive impact on the ground is even better.”
