Petrichor combines the regenerative, transformative actives of a serum, with the firming and moisturising nourishment of a rich cream or balm, formulated to re-energise your skin’s own optimal functioning by stimulating collagen and hyaluronic acid production, strengthening cell walls and collagen fibres, suppressing ageing stressors, as well as improving circulation. The polyphenol-rich ingredients help prevent the effects of skin glycation (AGEs: Advanced Glycation End products) and collagenase (an enzymes that degrades collagen) that can lead to loss of elasticity and firmness.

Suspended actives:

• N-Acetyl Glucosamine: a bio-identical glucosamine (amino acid and sugar), that exists throughout our body and in our skin cells, in the inter-cellular pockets. Research shows it’s a superb well-aging ingredient, particularly thanks to it’s ability to increase collagen production and stimulate our cells’ ability to produce our own hyaluronic acid. It can even out the complexion, improve pigmentation, increase hydration and skin elasticity. Because it’s an amino sugar, it has gentle skin exfoliating properties similar to alpha and beta hydroxyl acids without the irritation.

• Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate: a potent yet gentle form of vitamin C that is readily absorbed. It has been clinically-proven to brighten the complexion, influence melanin production and reduce hyperpigmentation, improve skin’s texture, and reduce the look of fine lines and age spots. Combined with our lipophilic vitamin C ester and vitamin C-rich botanicals, there is ample amount of this vitamin, which is also necessary in collagen formation.

• Pearl: our pearl powder is an active ingredient not a pearlescent. It has numerous benefits that come from its abundance of nutrients - at least 14 amino acids (including 8 that cannot be synthesized by the human body) and 30 trace minerals, including calcium, iron, copper, magnesium, silica, and selenium. The extensive mineral and amino acid content in pearl has been found to promote bouncier skin, reduce the appearance of pore size, brighten the appearance of skin tone and improve texture.
